in training.
<\/p> v <\/span><\/span><\/span>Managing and providing diets in context to
training.
<\/p> v <\/span><\/span><\/span>Providing companionship to animals and building
relationships.
<\/p> v <\/span><\/span><\/span>Training behaviors using operant conditioning.
<\/p> v <\/span><\/span><\/span>Record keeping.
<\/p> v <\/span><\/span><\/span>Creating and executing training plans.
<\/p> v <\/span><\/span><\/span>Liaising with training manager in relation to
animal’s welfare and mental state.
<\/p> v <\/span><\/span><\/span>Assisting veterinary doctors with treatment of
animals.
<\/p> v <\/span><\/span><\/span>Educating other staff about correct handling
procedures and safe training.
<\/p> v <\/span><\/span><\/span>Presenting animals on site and off site
locations and events.
<\/p> v <\/span><\/span><\/span>Accepting changes of hours and days off as
requested by Zoo Manager to attend events.
<\/p> v <\/span><\/span><\/span>Organizing food and training equipment with
store supervisor.
<\/p> v <\/span><\/span><\/span>Providing enrichment to training animals.
<\/p> v <\/span><\/span><\/span>Assisting with training of animals outside of
your quota as required.
<\/p> v <\/span><\/span><\/span>Research to inspire shows and presentations to
be the best performance possible.

Requirements<\/h3>Work in co -operation with other trainers and
staff members to optimize training times for all animals.
<\/span><\/li>Be
polite and courteous to other members of staff and park guests.
<\/span><\/li>Never
to abuse or punish an animal in any way has that been unnecessary where
training can be applied.<\/span>
<\/li>Excellent communication skills to interact with animals, staff, and the public<\/span>
<\/li>Ability to assess animal behavior and apply appropriate training methods<\/span>
<\/li>Strong problem -solving skills and patience to work with animals of varying temperaments<\/span>
<\/li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team<\/span>
