AI-Powered Climate Job Search: Connect ClimateChangeJobs.com to Claude (MCP)

Introduction

AI assistants like Claude can now search and access ClimateChangeJobs.com directly through the Model Context Protocol (MCP) — an open standard that lets AI applications connect to external data sources.

Once connected, you can search ClimateChangeJobs.com using plain language directly from Claude.

You can install this from Anthropic's Connectors Directory via this page (click the “Sign in to Add” or “Add to Claude“ button). See screenshot below.

This is available for users on Claude, Cowork, Claude Desktop, and Claude Mobile (iOS and Android).


Alternative method

Requires a paid Claude plan (Pro, Max, Team, or Enterprise).

  1. Open Claude → Settings → Connectors
  2. Click Add custom connector
  3. Name: ClimateChangeJobs.com
  4. URL: https://mcp.climatechangejobs.com/mcp
  5. When asked about authentication, choose No authentication
  6. Click Save — you're connected

Available Tools

The ClimateChangeJobs.com MCP server provides three read-only tools:

  • search_jobs — Search live listings by keyword, category, employer, or posting date
  • get_job — Retrieve full details for a specific job, including the complete description
  • get_employer — Look up information about a hiring organization

The server is read-only: it searches public job listings only. It cannot modify data and requires no personal information or account to use.
