We are recruiting for a Business Development Manager to sell sponsorship packages internationally. You will be joining a successful conference team to strengthen our fast-growing Energy Storage, Solar & Green Hydrogen events portfolio.
We work across a diverse portfolio of events in the USA, Europe and Asia where our key goal is to collaborate with our customers to help their businesses thrive and create a sustainable future on a global scale.
Role Accountability and Duties:
- You will close and repeat high-value business at conferences
- You will be maximising revenue through sponsorship sales
- You will develop relationships with decision-makers to do business and build accounts
- You will be identifying and securing new customers who can be developed into major accounts
- You will set and exceed monthly sales targets and KPIs agreed with your line manager
- You will be managing a sales pipeline document for reporting purposes
- You will forecast sales pipelines accurately on a weekly and monthly basis
- You will be gathering product and company feedback from clients and prospects
What you bring to the team:
- A solid and proven background in sales, (conference sales preferably)
- Proven track record of winning new business and successfully managing existing clients
- Able to sell on a concept and provide a consultative sales approach in an excellent telephone manner
- Enjoy working in a KPI-driven environment
- Able to travel globally to events and pitch in person existing and new business opportunities
- Identify new product or event ideas to senior management
Desirable, but not essential
- Experience with CRM (Salesforce)
- Market knowledge (EV, Solar, Energy Storage)
- The ability to work remotely and self-motivated
