This individual collaborates closely with the Project Leader of the Power Solutions Business Unit and various members within the Offer Creation Process and/or Squad. This role is crucial for coordinating purchasing activities among the Operations and Procurement Leaders, Category/Global Supply Chain, and the Power Solutions Business Unit, with an emphasis on growth and addressing technical challenges through innovation.

What will you do?
- Act as a Single Point of Contact for procurement topics for all stakeholders.
- Work closely with the Operations and Procurement Leaders to ensure the Request for Quotation, cost finalization, sample development, and part approval in close coordination with the project team while securing parts procurement for prototype, pilot, and mass production as per target dates.
- Involve in Make/Buy and Design/Buy analysis to ensure early supplier involvement in projects.
- Bring supplier market knowledge through co-development and innovation.
- Ensure that category choices align with project needs and deploy regional and global category strategy within the project.
- Challenge and influence the Supply Operations Committee when required.
- Dare to disrupt by bringing supplier market knowledge and innovation into projects.
- Involve in critical price negotiation by taking responsibility for negotiating all purchasing terms and conditions with suppliers, including contracts for strategic parts and components.
- Ensure timely parts and tools development with existing or new suppliers, based on capacity and capability analysis through process audits and frequent supplier visits.
- Attend meetings such as League Review Meetings, Critical Negotiation Meetings, and Supplier Strategy Meetings.
- Manage escalation for Procurement Operations and support to the Operations and Procurement Leader.
- Ensure alignment with project objectives and time-lines.
Who will you report to? PS Global OCP Procurement Director.
What qualifications will make you successful for this role?
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business is required, with a master's degree in engineering or MBA being a plus.
- Experience working in PMP/Agile environment is a must.
- Experience working in plastic parts /metal (fabricated components) /epoxy, and raw materials category, understand basic knowledge of MV (mechanism), electronic category would be added advantage.
- Knowledge about business acumen and market intel about products and supply base.
- Knowledge and practical experience with parts and components in design or industry streams, for example, Critical to Quality, Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis, Continuous Quality Control System, and Production Part Approval Process.
- Job Related Experience: 10+ years of experience in a Procurement/Sourcing team of a multinational corporation, including strategic sourcing and supplier management. Prior experience in new product development in capacity of purchasing or industrialization is a plus.
- Business Understanding: Experience in components supply chain and industrial product application is advantageous. Strong business acumen is essential.
- Strong strategic vision and excellent negotiating skills.
