Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Sr. Engineer – EHS to oversee Environment, Health & Safety activities for a large-scale construction project in Samarkand, Uzbekistan. The candidate will be responsible for implementing EHS standards, ensuring statutory compliance, promoting a strong safety culture, and minimizing workplace risks.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor EHS policies, procedures, and site safety plans.
- Conduct regular site inspections, hazard identification, and risk assessments.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, client requirements, and company EHS standards.
- Lead safety inductions, toolbox talks, safety training, and awareness programs.
- Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions; recommend corrective actions.
- Monitor permit-to-work systems and ensure safe execution of high-risk activities.
- Coordinate emergency preparedness drills and response activities.
- Maintain EHS records, reports, and statutory documentation.
- Ensure proper use of PPE and adherence to safety procedures by all personnel and subcontractors.
- Support management in achieving project safety objectives and KPIs.

Qualification

- Experience in construction, infrastructure, industrial, renewable energy, transmission/substation, or MEP projects.
- Knowledge of international EHS standards and best practices.
- Experience working with multicultural project teams.
