MEP Manager – Mechanical
Position: MEP Manager – Mechanical
Location: Samarkand, Uzbekistan
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all mechanical MEP activities for the project, including HVAC, Plumbing, Firefighting, and Utility Systems.
- Oversee design review, installation, testing, commissioning, and handover of mechanical systems.
- Ensure project execution is in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, project schedules, and quality standards.
- Coordinate with civil, electrical, architectural, and commissioning teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Manage subcontractors, vendors, consultants, and site teams to achieve project objectives.
- Review material submittals, shop drawings, method statements, and technical queries.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions to meet construction milestones.
- Ensure compliance with HSE, QA/QC, and client requirements.
- Lead testing, commissioning, and final handover of HVAC, plumbing, and firefighting systems.
- Prepare and review project reports, resource plans, and progress updates for management and clients.
- Support procurement activities and ensure timely availability of materials and equipment.
Mandatory Skills
- Strong expertise in HVAC, Plumbing, Firefighting, and Utility Systems.
- Extensive experience in MEP project execution and management.
- Knowledge of international codes and standards such as ASHRAE, NFPA, SMACNA, and IPC.
- Ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors.
- Strong project planning, scheduling, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in testing, commissioning, and project handover activities.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and project management tools.
Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 18+ years of experience in Mechanical MEP projects.
- Minimum 5 years in a managerial role on large-scale EPC construction, infrastructure, commercial, industrial, or mixed-use development projects.
- International project experience is preferred.
Preferred Experience
- Large Commercial Buildings, Airports, Hospitals, Data Centers, Industrial Facilities, or Infrastructure Projects.
- Experience working with EPC contractors and multinational project teams.
- GCC or Central Asia project experience will be an added advantage.
