Assistant Manager – Electrical Testing & Commissioning (T&C)
Position: Assistant Manager – Electrical T&C
Location: Samarkand, Uzbekistan

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage electrical testing and commissioning activities for substations, power systems, and industrial electrical installations.
- Plan, schedule, and execute commissioning works in line with project milestones and client requirements.
- Supervise testing and commissioning of transformers, GIS/AIS switchgear, MV/LV panels, protection relays, SCADA systems, RTUs, UPS systems, battery systems, and control panels.
- Review electrical drawings, protection schemes, commissioning procedures, and technical specifications.
- Coordinate with engineering, construction, QA/QC, vendors, consultants, and client representatives during commissioning activities.
- Ensure all testing activities comply with IEC, IEEE, project specifications, and applicable safety standards.
- Analyze test results, identify system deficiencies, and implement corrective actions.
- Manage energization activities, synchronization, load testing, and performance testing.
- Prepare commissioning reports, test records, punch lists, and final handover documentation.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to commissioning engineers and technicians.
- Participate in factory acceptance tests (FAT), site acceptance tests (SAT), and project close-out activities.
- Ensure strict adherence to HSE requirements during all commissioning operations.
Mandatory Skills
- Extensive experience in Electrical Testing & Commissioning of power and substation projects.
- Strong knowledge of transformers, switchgears, protection relays, SCADA, RTU, and control systems.
- Hands-on experience with relay testing equipment such as Omicron, Megger, and similar tools.
- Expertise in protection schemes, fault analysis, and electrical troubleshooting.
- Thorough understanding of IEC, IEEE, and international electrical standards.
- Ability to manage teams, subcontractors, and client interactions independently.
- Strong documentation, reporting, and communication skills.
Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 12+ years of relevant experience in Electrical Testing & Commissioning.
- Experience in EPC, Substation, Renewable Energy, Power Plant, or Industrial Projects.
- Previous international project experience is preferred.
Preferred Experience
- 132/220/400 kV Substations.
- Solar Power Plants, BESS, Transmission & Distribution Projects.
- SCADA Integration and Protection Relay Commissioning.
- Experience working with multinational EPC contractors.
