The suitable candidate for this role is a Senior BIM Engineer specialising in Geo-Environmental, Civil infrastructure projects, with a strong focus on digital delivery and Civil 3D modelling. The role involves close coordination with design engineers and multidisciplinary teams across India and global regions, supporting project delivery through high-quality CAD and 3D modelling outputs.
The Senior BIM Engineer will take ownership of 3D modelling, drafting, and preparation of design documentation for Geo-Environmental, civil infrastructure, including water supply, wastewater, stormwater systems, and utility networks. The role supports projects across all stages, from concept and preliminary design through to detailed design and construction documentation.
Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining Civil 3D models (surfaces, alignments, corridors, pipe networks), integrating GIS and survey data, ensuring QA/QC compliance, and delivering accurate, coordinated, and construction-ready digital deliverables aligned with project standards and client expectations.
Develop, review, and maintain high-quality 2D and 3D CAD models and drawings for Geo-Environmental, civil infrastructure projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project requirements, Australian standards, and company guidelines.
Produce and manage detailed 3D civil models in Autodesk Civil 3D, including surfaces, alignments, profiles, corridors, grading, and utility models.
Prepare accurate engineering drawings and documentation, including plans, sections, long sections, details, and construction drawings suitable for tender and construction stages.
Manage and process spatial/geospatial data (GIS/CAD) to support design development, analysis, and project documentation workflows.
Coordinate closely with engineers, designers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure design intent, technical standards, and project requirements are fully achieved.
Lead the coordination and integration of digital design models across disciplines (civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical) to ensure clash-free and constructible solutions.
Maintain and enforce CAD/BIM standards, naming conventions, and modelling best practices, ensuring consistency and quality across deliverables.
Perform quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) checks and audits of drawings and models in line with project specifications, company standards, and client requirements.
Support data exchange and interoperability workflows, including GIS/CAD integration, model sharing, and preparation of digital deliverables for clients and contractors.
Collaborate with project stakeholders (engineers, architects, project managers, and external partners) to resolve design issues, improve efficiency, and optimise design solutions.
Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and support to junior modellers and drafters, promoting knowledge sharing and capability development within the team.
Develop and maintain CAD libraries, templates, and standard details to enhance productivity, consistency, and efficiency across projects.
Participate in design reviews and project meetings, contributing technical input on modelling strategies, constructability, and digital delivery approaches.
Manage multiple project deliverables simultaneously, prioritising tasks effectively to meet deadlines while maintaining a high standard of quality.
Stay up to date with latest CAD/BIM technologies, industry trends, and digital engineering practices, proactively recommending improvements and innovation opportunities.
Support implementation of BIM and digital engineering workflows, including model coordination, federated models, and alignment with ISO/BIM standards where applicable.
Ensure document control, version management, and deliverable compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
Proven experience in using Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) and BIM 360 platforms for project delivery and collaboration. Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
