Galileo is afast-growing renewable energy IPP, investor and operator, currently in the very dynamic start-up phase. Since our foundation in 2020, we have secured a pipeline of over16 GWofsolarPV,onshore wind,offshore windandstorageprojects across10 marketsin Europe.
We are looking for a M&A and Project Finance Analyst to assist in evaluating and executing new investment opportunities and
financing solutions across different renewable energy technologies (solar PV,
wind onshore and offshore as well as BESS). Working across the M&A and
Project Finance teams, this person will be based in Milan (with the
possibility of hybrid remote working) and report to the Chief Investment
Officer.
What you’ll do:
- Contribute to the successful
execution of sell-side, buy-side and partnership transactions by working on the
whole spectrum from inception to closing.
- Build and maintain integrated financial models
for M&A, project valuation and project finance purposes, including
sensitivity analyses and scenario assessments.
- Analyse and roll-out the strategic
entry in new geographical markets and the development of new business models
(solar I&C, BESS, floating offshore).
- Contribute to the analysis of project economics
and investment returns, supporting decision-making across development,
construction and operational phases.
- Support the structuring, negotiation and
execution of project finance transactions, refinancing processes and other debt
raising activities.

Requirements
What you'll need:
- Excellent
academic background with a degree in Economics, Finance, Business
Administration or Management Engineering (degrees in STEM are also suitable, if
accompanied with background in economics or finance);
- Initial work experience (ideally up
to 2 years) within consulting, private equity, infrastructure funds, investment
banking/M&A, or corporate M&A or project finance functions, with a
desirable focus in the energy/renewables business;
- Financial modelling experience and
strong analytical and quantitative skills;
- Excellent verbal and written
communication skills in Italian and English. Another European language would be
a plus;
- Enthusiasm and self-motivation,
including a willingness to take on new challenges and broad responsibilities;
- Ability to prioritize several concurrent tasks in a
fast-paced environment and prove resilient in the face of challenges and
disappointments.
