Galileo is a<\/span> <\/span><\/span>fast -growing renewable energy developer, investor and operator<\/span><\/b>, currently in the very dynamic start -up phase. Since our foundation in 2020, we have secured a pipeline of over <\/span>16 GW<\/b> <\/span>of <\/span>solar<\/b> <\/span>PV, <\/span>onshore wind<\/b>, <\/span>offshore wind<\/b> <\/span>and <\/span>storage<\/b> <\/span>projects across <\/span>10 markets<\/b> <\/span>in Europe. <\/span>

We are looking for our new Senior PV Engineer<\/b>, who will be critical in ensuring the technical robustness and execution
efficiency of our Italian and European solar PV power plants from development through to
the start of commercial operations. They’ll be dedicated to the effective
delivery of engineering workstreams required to realize PV projects, both
stand -alone and hybrid projects (PV + BESS). This person will be based in Milan (with
the possibility of hybrid remote working), reporting to the Technical Director.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

<\/div>What you’ll
do: <\/span>
<\/p>
Provide the engineering expertise needed to
guide and support development, construction, operations, and
financing/divestment of solar PV projects across various European countries
(primarily in Italy).<\/span>
<\/span><\/li>Conduct site assessments, feasibility
studies, preliminary layout design and optimization, and risk analyses
throughout the project lifecycle to support project development and execution;
monitor project progress, identifying potential issues and developing
mitigation strategies.<\/span>
<\/span><\/li>Focus on post -permitting activities:<\/span><\/span>
<\/li>provide technical input during
pre -construction planning and risk assessment; support or lead technical site
assessments and constructability reviews;<\/span>
<\/li>provide technical support to procurement,
including specifications and scope of work documents for EPC tender processes,
bid evaluation, contract negotiation, and equipment recommendations and
selection;<\/span>
<\/li>review and validate executive engineering
design to ensure alignment with project goals, grid codes, and permitting
conditions; conduct gap analyses between permitting documentation and
construction -level design;<\/span>
<\/li>collaborate with project director and
construction team to support the development of detailed construction plans and
schedules;<\/span>
<\/li>contribute to the development of
quality -control procedures and acceptance criteria for PV components and system
installation;<\/span>
<\/li>in collaboration with the HSE manager,
ensure the application of HSE best -practice during design and construction
stages;<\/span>
<\/li>if necessary, support stakeholder
communications, including utilities, grid operators, and regulatory bodies.<\/span>
<\/li><\/ul>Given that one
of the company's objectives is to develop hybrid projects, being able to apply
the above also to BESS projects would be highly valued.<\/span>

Requirements<\/h3>
What you’ll
need: <\/span>
<\/p>
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical
Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering or related field – Electrical
Engineering being a plus.<\/span>
<\/span><\/li>Minimum 5 years of experience in
post -permitting and construction phases of utility -scale PV projects working
for an IPP, EPC contractor, or owner’s engineering firm.<\/span>
<\/span><\/li>Proven track record in technical
specification development, executive design review, and EPC support.<\/span>
<\/span><\/li>Knowledge of BESS standalone and hybrid
systems is a plus.<\/span>
<\/span><\/li>Familiarity with grid connection
processes, including interconnection studies, grid code compliance, and
coordination with TSO/DSO is a plus.<\/span>
<\/span><\/li>Project management mindset, strong
analytical and problem -solving skills.<\/span>
<\/span><\/li>Excellent communication and interpersonal
skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multicultural team
environment, across topics and markets in an organised, strategic and
value -adding way.<\/span>
