We are looking for an <\/span>Electrical Engineer<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span>to lead electrical engineering<\/b> activities for PV and BESS
projects in Italy<\/b> from greenfield technical development<\/b> through post -permitting<\/b>,
detailed design, construction<\/b>, commissioning<\/b>, and handover<\/b>. This person will be based in Milan<\/span> <\/span>(with the possibility of hybrid remote working) <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>and report to the EPC Director.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

<\/div>What you’ll do<\/span><\/u>
<\/p>
Lead the definition of electrical design concepts
and requirements<\/b> (BoD/SoW, Employer’s Requirements, technical
specifications) supporting tendering, contracting, and execution.<\/span>
<\/span><\/li>Cover the full electrical scope across the plant and
grid interface, from development stage up to construction, including:<\/span>
- DC and AC design concepts<\/span><\/b> for PV and BESS (collection systems, aux supplies,
control/communication interfaces)<\/span>
- MV and HV systems<\/span><\/b>, including substation and grid -connection interfaces<\/b> (primary/secondary systems coordination as applicable)<\/span>
- Contribute to grid studies and assessments (e.g.,
short -circuit, load flow, harmonics, flicker, protection coordination),
coordinating consultants/third parties when needed.<\/span>
- Review design deliverables (SLDs, protection &
control schemes, substation/cabin layouts, cable schedules, grounding/earthing,
lighting, auxiliary services<\/span>
- Protection, metering, grounding/earthing, lightning
protection and electrical safety concepts<\/span>
<\/span><\/li>Ensure compliance with Italian grid codes and
relevant standards<\/b> (e.g., CEI/IEC), and support grid -connection activities
in collaboration with the Grid team (DSO/TERNA interface).<\/span>
<\/span><\/li>Coordinate and/or review electrical deliverables
from EPC contractors<\/b>, consultants and suppliers; challenge design
choices<\/b> to ensure quality, constructability, cost effectiveness and risk
mitigation.<\/span>
<\/span><\/li>Support procurement<\/b> by evaluating technical
offers, clarifying vendor proposals, and contributing to supplier selection for
key electrical equipment (e.g., transformers, MV switchgear, inverters/PCS,
protection systems).<\/span>
<\/span><\/li>Provide technical support during construction<\/b>,
including RFI management, site inspections, NCR resolution, FAT/SAT
participation (as needed), and commissioning documentation review.<\/span>
<\/span><\/li>Manage technical risks and electrical interfaces
between packages (PV/BESS/Wind, substation, grid compliance, SCADA).<\/span>
<\/span><\/li>Promote best practices for
electrical safety, quality and document traceability.<\/span>
<\/span><\/li>Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering
standards, templates, and ways of working<\/b> across the EPC organization.<\/span>
<\/span><\/li>Depending on
experience and availability, support similar activities for wind projects.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

Requirements<\/h3>
What you’ll need: <\/span><\/u>
<\/p>
Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent
technical background).<\/span>
<\/span><\/li>At least 3 -4 years of relevant experience in
electrical engineering for Italian utility -scale PV projects (more senior
profiles welcome); Specific BESS experience (PCS, EMS, control
strategies, safety requirements, performance testing) is a plus<\/span><\/span>.<\/span>
<\/span><\/li>Practical exposure to multiple project phases
(development/design, execution, commissioning), ideally within an EPC, IPP,
developer, OEM, or engineering consultancy environment.<\/span>
<\/span><\/li>Familiarity with MV/HV systems and grid -connection
interfaces for renewable plants in Italy.<\/span>
<\/span><\/li>Experience with electrical simulation/design tools
(e.g., ETAP, DIgSILENT PowerFactory or similar) and CAD.<\/span>
<\/span><\/li>Strong ability to work cross -functionally and
communicate clearly with internal and external stakeholders.<\/span>
<\/span><\/li>Fluent Italian; professional English is a plus.<\/span>
<\/span><\/li>Willingness to travel regularly within Italy for
meetings and site activities.<\/span>
