KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Conduct daily environmental inspections and monitoring on site.
• Ensure compliance with the approved EMPr, EA, WUL and project environmental requirements.
• Monitor construction activities within environmentally sensitive areas including wetlands, drainage lines, and servitudes.
• Conduct environmental inductions and toolbox talks.
• Monitor waste management, hazardous substances storage, spill prevention and housekeeping.
• Conduct inspections on refuelling areas, fuel tankers, batching plants, laydown areas and construction camps.
• Monitor erosion control, stormwater management and rehabilitation activities.
• Compile environmental reports, inspection registers and compliance records.
• Investigate environmental incidents, spills and non-conformances and implement corrective actions.
• Liaise with contractors, supervisors, SHE personnel, ECO, Environmental Specialist and client representatives.
• Monitor compliance with biodiversity and heritage protection requirements.
• Ensure implementation of environmental mitigation measures during construction activities.
• Support audits and inspections conducted by the client, authorities and environmental consultants.
• Maintain environmental documentation and legal compliance records.
