Our client is a well-established and growing company in the renewable energy and environmental sector, based in Johannesburg North. They are looking for a Financial Controller to lead and manage their finance function across multiple entities.
This role is ideal for a strong finance professional who enjoys both strategic thinking and hands-on work. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, managing cash flow, and supporting key business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting processes
- Oversee daily finance operations (cash, creditors, debtors, payroll, and fixed assets)
- Ensure accurate financial records, reconciliations, and trial balances
- Manage cash flow, treasury, and banking relationships
- Prepare reports, financial analysis, and KPIs for management and the Board
- Handle consolidations and inter-company transactions
- Ensure compliance with IFRS, tax, and statutory requirements
- Lead audits and liaise with external auditors
- Identify process improvements and manage financial risks
Job Experience and Skills Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- Completed SAICA or SAIPA articles
- Minimum 3+ years’ post-articles experience in a similar role
- 3–5 years’ experience managing a team
