As a Solar Proposals Engineer, you will be responsible for developing competitive technical and commercial proposals for solar PV and hybrid energy systems. You will work closely with the sales and engineering teams to design efficient, cost-effective solutions while ensuring compliance with industry standards. This role provides the opportunity to contribute directly to project acquisition and the growth of renewable energy initiatives.
Education:
- Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
Job Experience & Skills Required:
- 3–7 years’ experience in solar PV design or proposals
- Experience with tools such as PVsyst, Helioscope, and AutoCAD
- Strong understanding of inverters, battery storage, and grid integration
- Ability to compile BOQs, cost estimates, and tender submissions
- Strong commercial awareness and costing experience
- Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills
- Ability to optimise system designs for performance and cost efficiency
