To support the pilot line team during a temporary leave period, we are looking for a Battery Technician for a 9‑month interim contract, with potential future opportunities depending on company needs.
This role is highly practical and focused on pouch cell assembly & pilot‑scale equipment operation, and requires consistent quality & safety execution in a dry‑room environment & glovebox.
What you'll do at ABEE
- Perform hands‑on cell assembly tasks for coin cells and pouch cells.
- Operate lab‑scale and pilot‑scale equipment such as: calendaring, ultrasonic welding, stacking, pouch cupping, and sealing.
- Follow standardized SOPs for each assembly or equipment operation.
- Execute routine process steps such as electrode preparation checks, separator handling, electrolyte filling, pouch closing, and labelling.
- Complete basic data logging, batch documentation, checklists, and equipment use records.
- Support quality control checks (visual inspection, dimensional checks, electrode alignment, weld quality, etc.).
Report equipment issues or deviations to the team leader promptly.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintain a clean, controlled environment for battery manufacturing.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (electromechanics, industrial sciences, materials, chemistry, etc.) (Junior profiles or motivated graduates are welcome.)
- Strong motivation for hands‑on work in a technical, controlled production environment.
- Ability to follow SOPs, checklists, and documentation procedures with precision.
- Good understanding of basic mechanical assembly principles.
- Strong awareness of quality and safety as core team values.
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
