The Commercial & Contracting O&M Expert supports the commercial and contractual execution of Solarpro’s O&M activities for EPC-delivered renewable energy projects. The role focuses on contract administration, back-to-back alignment, claims support, and commercial performance tracking, ensuring that O&M obligations are executed in line with EPC commitments and contractual risk allocation.
This is a technical-commercial expert role, working closely with EPC, O&M, legal, and asset management teams.
Main responsibilities:
1. Commercial O&M Support:
- Support the process of bids preparation, calculation of the cost, coordinating all necessary tender documents and preparation of commercial proposal for O&M services;
- Support the commercial performance of O&M contracts for PV, BESS, and hybrid assets;
- Track O&M costs, KPIs, penalties, and incentives against contractual terms;
- Assist in budget control, forecasting, and performance reporting;
- Support lifecycle cost optimization and margin protection initiatives.
2. Contract Administration & Back-to-Back Alignment:
- Support the preparation of O&M contracts in collaboration with legal department;
- Take part in preparation of annexes, attending meetings with the customers, discussing the terms and conditions;
- Administer O&M, LTSA, and service contracts with subcontractors and OEMs;
- Ensure back-to-back alignment between client contracts and provided agreements;
- Monitor compliance with SLAs, availability guarantees, and response times;
- Support contract variations, amendments, and renewals;
- Maintain contract registers and documentation.
3. Claims, Warranties & Commercial Recovery:
- Support commercial claims related to underperformance, defects, and outages;
- Assist with warranty claims management (modules, inverters, BESS, transformers, SCADA);
- Translate technical issues into contractual entitlement and recovery actions;
- Support cost recovery from subcontractors and OEMs.
4. Operational Interface & Performance Tracking:
- Act as a commercial interface to technical O&M and site teams;
- Support availability and outage classification from a contractual perspective;
- Assist with EPC handover, PAC/FAC, and warranty period transitions;
- Support enforcement of contractual remedies where required.
5. Governance, Risk & Standardization:
- Support identification of commercial and contractual risks during O&M execution;
- Ensure compliance with internal processes and approval workflows;
- Support audits, lender reporting, and contractual compliance reviews;
- Contribute to the standardization of O&M commercial and contracting templates.
Your profile:
- Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or relevant;
- 3+ years of experience in EPC, O&M, or contract administration within renewables;
- Solid understanding of O&M contracts, EPC interfaces, and back-to-back structures;
- Familiarity with availability regimes, warranties, and LD mechanisms;
- Experience with utility-scale PV; BESS or hybrid projects are an advantage;
- Strong analytical, documentation, and coordination skills;
- Fluent in English; additional European languages are a plus.
