Currently, we are looking for a Commercial & Contracting O&M Manager.
The Commercial & Contracting O&M Manager is responsible for the commercial, contractual, and claims-related aspects of O&M activities. The role ensures continuity between EPC delivery and long-term O&M obligations, safeguarding Solarpro’s contractual position, margins, and risk exposure throughout the asset lifecycle.
This position plays a critical role in managing back-to-back obligations, warranties, availability regimes, and performance guarantees across clients, subcontractors, and OEMs.
Main responsibilities:
1. EPC-to-O&M Commercial Management:
- Lead preparation of bids, calculation of the cost, coordinating all necessary tender documents and preparation of commercial proposal for O&M services;
- Own the commercial performance of O&M contracts originating from EPC-delivered projects;
- Ensure alignment between EPC contractual commitments and long-term O&M obligations;
- Track O&M costs, margins, penalties, and incentives against project assumptions;
- Support pricing, scope definition, and risk allocation for O&M during EPC tendering and handover;
- Identify opportunities to improve lifecycle profitability and reduce post-COD exposure.
2. Contract Administration & Back-to-Back Management:
- Lead preparation of O&M contracts in collaboration with legal department;
- Managing preparation of annexes, leading meetings with the customers, negotiating the terms and conditions;
- Administer O&M, LTSA, and service agreements with subcontractors and OEMs;
- Ensure strict back-to-back alignment between client contracts and supplier agreements;
- Manage availability guarantees, response times, performance ratios, and LD regimes;
- Lead contract amendments, extensions, and renegotiations;
- Maintain contract registers, correspondence, and formal change management.
3. Claims, Warranties & Defect Management:
- Lead commercial claims related to underperformance, defects, delays, and outages;
- Manage warranty claims with OEMs (modules, inverters, BESS, transformers, SCADA);
- Support root-cause analysis by translating technical issues into contractual entitlement;
- Coordinate recovery of costs from suppliers and subcontractors;
- Support dispute resolution processes in cooperation with legal teams.
4. Operational Interface & Performance Enforcement:
- Act as the commercial interface between EPC, O&M, and technical teams;
- Translate operational KPIs into contractual and financial consequences;
- Monitor availability, outage categorization, and force majeure classifications;
- Support EPC final acceptance, PAC/FAC, and warranty period transitions;
- Ensure correct commercial setup during site mobilization and demobilization.
5. Risk, Governance & Compliance:
- Identify contractual and commercial risks during O&M execution and mitigate exposure;
- Ensure compliance with internal approval processes and project governance;
- Support audits, lender requirements, and contractual compliance reviews;
- Contribute to standardization of EPC and O&M commercial frameworks across the group.
6. Stakeholder & Internal Coordination:
- Coordinate closely with EPC project managers, asset management, legal, and finance teams;
- Act as commercial counterpart to clients, investors, and service providers
- Support knowledge transfer and lessons learned from O&M back into EPC execution.
Your profile:
- Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or relevant;
- 5+ years of experience in EPC, O&M, or contract management within renewable energy;
- Strong background in EPC contracts, O&M agreements, and back-to-back structures;
- Solid understanding of warranties, availability guarantees, and LD mechanisms;
- Experience with utility-scale PV; BESS and hybrid projects are a strong advantage;
- Proven claims and negotiation experience;
- Strong analytical, contractual, and stakeholder management skills;
- Fluent in English; additional languages are an asset.
