Currently we are looking for a Civil Engineer PV Plants & BESS.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the planning, design, and execution of civil and structural works for solar PV installations and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) deployments, ensuring full compliance with engineering standards, safety regulations, quality requirements, and project timelines.
Main responsibilities:
- Assign and coordinate topographical surveys, geotechnical investigations, hydrological studies and various site assessments in accordance with the specific requirements of each project.
- Oversee the key equipment selection process and manage the civil design aspects related to the successful equipment installation and integration in the project.
- Civil design management and coordination of consultants and sub-contractors.
- Design, review, and validate structural foundations and other civil works for both primary and auxiliary equipment.
- Review PV module mounting structure designs to ensure compliance with project requirements, site conditions, client specifications, applicable regulations, and relevant design codes.
- Prepare, review, and approve technical drawings, engineering reports, specifications, calculations, and Bills of Quantities (BOQs).
- Collaborate closely with equipment suppliers, electrical engineers, project managers, consultants, and contractors to ensure effective coordination and integration of civil and electrical engineering works.
- Provide technical support to the site engineering team to ensure construction activities are executed in accordance with approved designs, engineering standards, safety regulations, and quality requirements.
- Review tender documentation and provide technical input during the pre-bid and proposal development stages for prospective projects.
- Participate in project coordination meetings and client discussions, presenting updates on civil engineering design progress, technical issues, and project deliverables.
Your profile:
- Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Design team/office, with at least 2 years in utility scale solar PV projects.
- Proficiency in working with Eurocodes, ISO standards related to steel work design, fabrication and execution, ISO standards related to concrete works, AASTHO and other relevant Road design standards.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of environmental and permitting processes related to solar and/or energy projects is a plus
- Experience with AutoCAD, FEA based software, and Civil Design tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of structural design, geotechnical principles, and construction methodologies.
- Experience with utility-scale solar farms, wind, energy or infrastructure projects.
- Working language: English
