About Avesta Wallonia/Luxembourg
Avesta Wallonia and Luxembourg plays a strategic role in our European expansion, focusing on meeting the growing demand for energy storage solutions in the Belgian and Luxembourg markets. Mission
The Business Developer will be instrumental in driving the growth of Avesta's Lithium battery energy storage solutions in Wallonia and Luxembourg. Your mission is to identify new business opportunities, establish and develop relationships with both new and existing customers, convert these opportunities into orders, and generate revenue, all while contributing to the ongoing innovation in the Lithium battery energy storage sector. You will have an annual order intake target, and your efforts will directly impact the company’s market position and long-term success. This role requires expertise across the entire commercial cycle and involves regular travel throughout Wallonia and Luxembourg, as well as remote communication with headquarters and support teams.
As a Business Developer, you will operate autonomously, leveraging your experience and expertise to shape Avesta’s business in these markets.
Key Responsibilities

Identify and develop leads, turning them into valuable business opportunities.

Convert identified opportunities into purchase orders, following the company’s commercial process.

Develop and manage a pipeline of opportunities to ensure its health and meet purchase order targets.

Increase Avesta’s brand and product awareness in Wallonia and Luxembourg by promoting our Lithium battery energy storage solutions to both new and existing customers, as well as new applications.

Contribute to Avesta’s market and application knowledge by staying informed on the Lithium battery energy storage market, industry trends, and competitor activities in these regions.

Collaborate closely with internal teams (technical, product, marketing) to ensure seamless delivery of tailored solutions to customers.
Requirements

Degree in Electrical Engineering or any relevant degree associated with business development or sales management.

Experience in battery energy storage, electrical systems, or similar technical fields, with a proven track record in business development in project-based environments.

Skills:

Ability to manage the full commercial cycle, from lead generation to closing deals.

Strong analytical skills to assess market trends, competition, and customer needs.

Excellent negotiation and communication skills.

Experience handling small to large-scale projects and industrial clients.

Fluent in English; proficiency in French or Luxembourgish is essential. Knowledge of additional languages is a plus.

Willingness to travel frequently within Wallonia and Luxembourg and potentially to Avesta headquarters.
