Strong knowledge of the California Department of Human Resources, State Personnel Board, Memorandum of Understandings (MOU), and civil service rules, laws, and regulations governing hiring processes.
Prior supervisory experience.
2+ years of experience in human resources, specifically, classification and pay/hiring in a personnel or human resources office.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work under pressure with changing priorities, and to coordinate multiple tasks efficiently and independently to meet deadlines.
Ability to work independently and with others along with the ability to guide and train staff
Strong organizational skills, and the ability to set priorities, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines within challenging time constraints.
Experience analyzing, interpreting, and applying personnel laws, policies, and processes.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to display good judgment, tact, and diplomacy.
Proficient computer skills and knowledge of software, including but not limited to: Microsoft Word, Adobe Pro, Microsoft Excel, Power Point, and Outlook.
Exercise creativity and flexibility in problem identification and resolution.
