MAJOR DUTIES: As a Maintenance Worker, you will perform the following duties: Performs various park maintenance tasks relative to the repair and upkeep of buildings, structures, facilities, roads and grounds. Performs multiple tasks in carpentry, plumbing, painting, electrical, and equipment and road maintenance. Removes trash and debris from roadsides. Cleans comfort stations, picnic areas, offices, and other public use areas. Performs grounds maintenance utilizing push mowers, weed eaters, riding mowers and all-terrain vehicles. Makes minor repairs to buildings and structures. Prepares surfaces for painting by sanding, buffing, and cleaning. Clears simple stoppages; replaces washers in faucets; cuts or drills previously marked holes and openings in walls or floors. Replaces fuses and light bulbs. Performs minor/routine maintenance while working with/assisting journeyman level employees in completing projects in painting, plumbing, carpentry, electrical and utility systems.
