MAJOR DUTIES: As a Utility Systems Repairer-Operator, you will perform the following duties: Install, diagnose, and make repairs on a variety of domestic and commercial refrigeration and air conditioning units and systems such as walk-in coolers, refrigerators, evaporative coolers, attic and evaporative fans, and other equipment of comparable complexity. Install, repair, and maintain a variety of domestic heating equipment and systems such as oil fueled heaters, hot air furnaces, heating boilers, and other systems and equipment with similar heat sources, controls, and circulating methods that are usually uncomplicated and do not have complex maintenance requirements. Follow scheduled daily, weekly, and monthly inspections and routine servicing of mechanical equipment such as valves, compressors, motors, centrifugal, macerator, and air lift pumps, automatic controls such as electrical relays, time delay switches, and pump start-stop switches.
