Position Description:
Plateau is seeking a Senior Environmental Subject Matter Expert with extensive knowledge and experience in the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA). The successful candidate will lead the Cleanup, Restoration, and Liabilities Program/Team for Plateau and support ARNG Environmental Programs. Responsibilities include analyzing, coordinating, and verifying cleanup and restoration environmental data, as well as managing the IT solutions that support this data. This role is part of an Environmental Services team that supports Environmental Business Processes and Environmental Program Support for our ARNG Customers
Key Responsibilities could include:
- Act as a technical advisor for the ARNG MR Program.
- Support ARNG Cleanup PMs and Branch Chief by coordinating and communicating MR Program initiatives.
- Provide technical support and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Deliverables include meeting minutes, data calls, status reports, progress reports, coordination documents, and technical documents such as graphs, charts, briefs, and maps
- Provide program support for Cleanup and Restoration, DERP, and Environmental and Disposal Liability (E&DL).
- Manage funding actions between ARNG PMs and USAEC.
- Coordinate DERP reporting requirements with USAEC.
- Assist with CTC estimate support and the Army Financial Audit.
- Provide technical and project management support for CERCLA requirements.
- Plan and coordinate environmental investigation and remediation activities.
- Conduct technical reviews of reports related to investigation and cleanup actions.
- Support E&DL requirements for budgeting and financial reporting.
- I Suggest Combining the two green lines into one line: Assist with CTC estimate support and E&DL requirements for budgeting, financial reporting and the Army Financial Audit.
- Provide analyst support for the ARNG environmental cleanup program.
- Assist with data management, records management, reporting, data calls, preparing correspondence and presentations, and tracking program requirements.
- Act as a technical advisor for the ARNG's nationwide PFAS Program.
- Provide technical support for planning and execution of the ARNG PFAS program.
- I suggest combining the two yellow line into one line: Acti as a technical advisor for the ARNG’s nationwide PFAS Program by providing technical support for planning and execution.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulatory requirements.
- Assist with program planning, resource allocation, and reporting requirements.
Requirements:
- U.S. Citizenship.
- Eligibility to receive a Common Access Card (CAC) and National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) may be required.
- Bachelor's degree.
- At least 15 years of environmental experience specific to the Army CERCLA Program Process.
- Strong team leadership and program management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Public Speaking experience
- Ability to explain complex scientific issues to the public and to experienced regulators
- Ability to interact extensively with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of CERCLA/RCRA environmental business processes.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong client engagement capabilities.
- Ability to work with minimal oversight (High Speed – Low Drag).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in common software suites, such as Microsoft Office.
