We are seeking a proactive and strategic Supply Chain leader to lead and optimize our inventory management, fulfillment, and supply chain processes. This role is critical to ensuring the timely and cost-effective delivery of geothermal systems while driving efficiencies, minimizing waste, and maintaining our commitment to quality and customer satisfaction. You will collaborate across teams, manage key assets, and develop strategies that support Dandelion’s growth and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Management
- Own and oversee the company’s inventory management systems and processes.
- Improve inventory and distribution operations through automation, technology, and best practices to reduce lead times, minimize waste, and lower operational costs.
- Prepare regular reports for leadership, providing insights into inventory levels, distribution performance, and cost metrics.
- Run S&OP (Sales and Operations Planning) processes to align heat pump manufacturing with sales, engineering, product, and finance team objectives.
Fulfillment Operations
- Plan and execute the timely and cost-effective distribution of geothermal heat pumps to customers.
- Collaborate with logistics providers to negotiate rates, optimize delivery routes, and ensure on-time schedules.
Fleet & Warehouse Management
- Build, hire, and manage teams responsible for fleet and warehouse operations.
- Oversee the maintenance, repair, and operational readiness of trucks, drilling rigs, and other essential equipment.
- Select and manage software and systems for vehicle and fleet operations.
Cost Reduction & RFP Management
- Develop strategies to reduce procurement costs while maintaining high quality and reliability standards.
- Manage RFP (Request for Proposal) processes by evaluating opportunities, coordinating input from stakeholders, and ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
- Create and maintain reusable templates, boilerplate content, and a repository of FAQs to streamline future RFP responses.
Supplier Sourcing & Procurement
- Identify and evaluate subcontractors and suppliers for geothermal system components, drilling materials, and installation equipment.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure favorable pricing, terms, and delivery schedules.
- Oversee the procurement process, ensuring timely issuance of purchase orders, tracking deliveries, and availability of critical materials.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Business, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in inventory management, logistics, supply chain, or related operations.
- Strong track record of optimizing processes through technology and best practices.
- Proven ability to negotiate with suppliers and manage contracts effectively.
- Proficiency in inventory management systems, logistics software, and fleet management tools.
