JOB SUMMARY: Facility Operations Specialist (Marine Branch Supervisor) located in Boston National Historical Park, in the Facilities and Sustainability Directorate. MAJOR DUTIES: Supervise the Marine Facilities Branch of the park Facilities and Sustainability Division and oversee the work of subordinate staff and volunteers on a day-to-day basis. Provide technical oversight of docking and berthing operations for the visiting ships program as well as management of special events related to visiting ships to the park. Serves as Contracting Office Representative (COR) to perform technical oversight of contracts for work on the USS Cassin Young and associated marine infrastructure on Pier 1 of the Charlestown Navy Yard. Develop a safety program for staff and volunteers the emphasizes the safe work habits and safe facilities for visitors. Fosters working relationships and partnerships with local stakeholders that share space with the Park and have a common mission.
