RESEARCH ASSOCIATE II
Civil & Environmental Engineering
The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering seeks applications from extraordinarily qualified individuals for a Research Associate II position. This position will be regular and include benefits.Provides support and research in areas of 1) source tracking of environmental contaminants in both natural and engineered systems; 2) monitoring and modeling of the dynamics of environmental microbiomes; and 3) developing laboratory protocols for chemical and microbiological analyses. Responsibilities include design and implementation of field/laboratory sampling and analysis; modeling and data analytics; preparing and presenting project reports; publishing research results in academic journals; and participating in writing research proposals.

Requirements:
·Master’s in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering or closely related field.
·2 years of research experience (including degree program) in water/wastewater quality with training in advanced instrumentation for chemical analysis.
Preferred Qualifications:
·PhD in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering or closely related field.
·4 years of experience in molecular microbial ecology research
