Job Summary:
Under limited supervision, Bike Rental Guest Services is responsible for maintaining safety and overseeing all bike rental operations, including customer service, answering questions, maintaining cleanliness, and minor bicycle repairs.
Description:
- Provide superior customer service, enforcing rental policies in a friendly, courteous manner.
- Provide information about facilities, entertainment options, and rules and regulations.
- Provide guests with additional information about Jekyll Island and guest attractions, maintaining knowledge of amenities and ongoing events.
- Complete guest transactions and handle them appropriately.
- Facilitate daily bike rental activities.
- Manage bike inventory, noting bicycles needing repair, making minor repairs as necessary, and completing daily and annual bicycle maintenance.
- Ensure that the bike rental area is kept clean and properly maintained.
- Record details of attendance, sales, receipts, reservations, or repair activities.
- Complete the daily duties assigned and any other duties assigned to you by your supervisor.
- Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends.
- Experience in light bicycle maintenance, such as fixing flat tires, adjusting seats and/or handlebars, fixing or adjusting chains, etc.
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
- Exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, 20 pounds of force frequently, and a negligible amount constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
- Ability to stand, sit, walk and use repetitive motions of the wrists, hands, and fingers for the majority of the day.
- Ability to stoop, crouch, kneel and reach part of the day.
- Ability to read and write and clearly communicate verbally.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring accuracy, neatness, and thorough work assigned.
- Subject to work inside and outside with extended periods of time in outside conditions, will be exposed to sun, heat & humidity, cold, and rain.
