Join Denver Zoo Conservation Alliance as a Graphic Designer to create engaging, impactful visuals across digital and print media that communicate our mission to diverse audiences. This role requires a designer who can balance creative innovation with attention to detail, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality visual materials that drive engagement and support organizational goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Visual Concept Development: Create original visuals that communicate key messages across digital, print, social media, and internal communications. Apply visual storytelling techniques, typography, and image editing to enhance engagement and clarity.

Design Presentation: Communicate design concepts and strategies effectively to stakeholders, presenting ideas and incorporating feedback to align with campaign goals.

Brand Consistency: Maintain DZCA’s brand identity across all materials, ensuring consistency and supporting brand evolution through collaborative input.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with team members to align designs with project goals and audience needs. Build relationships with team members and internal stakeholders to incorporate diverse perspectives and support broader business strategies.

Project Management: Communicate with the Marketing Coordinator on project details, manage multiple deadlines, and track project progress within budget and timelines.

Video and Photography Support: Contribute to content creation by guiding visual capture sessions, developing shot lists, and aligning assets with campaign objectives and deliverables.

Ongoing Learning & Innovation: Stay current with design trends and incorporate best practices to elevate DZCA’s visual presence.
Other Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain confidentiality and act as a steward of DZCA resources.
- Regularly engage with staff, external partners, and the public.
- Onsite work required; occasional weekends/evenings may be required for special events.
Technical / Professional Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: 2-year degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 3-5 years in graphic design, experience in nonprofit setting(s) is a bonus, with proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and both print and digital design. Experience in (or willingness to learn) additional platforms such as Microsoft Office, Wordfly, After Effects, Creatopy, animation/motion design, photography, Canva, and project management software is a plus.
- Skills: Strong organizational and communication skills, detail-oriented, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work independently or collaboratively.

Position Conditions

Compensation
Salary range for this position is $4,962 - $6,078 (monthly).
