Position: AM / DM - Procurement and Vendor Development – BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems)

Job Responsibilities:
- Handle the procurement of Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) solutions and associated components, including battery cells, Power Conversion Systems (PCS), transformers, cables, busbars, switchgears, Battery Management Systems (BMS), and Energy Management Systems (EMS).
- Identify and develop reliable vendors to establish a robust supply chain both within India and internationally, ensuring alignment with project requirements and quality standards.
- Conduct thorough evaluation and negotiation of commercial contracts covering aspects such as pricing, delivery timelines, warranties, spare parts, and logistics. Release of Purchase Orders (POs) and coordinate all activities from post-PO issuance until the final delivery of goods.
- Manage the importation process, including customs clearance and associated documentation, to ensure timely and compliant delivery of imported components.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive cost reduction strategy aimed at optimizing procurement expenses while maintaining the quality and reliability of components.
- Prepare and maintain detailed MIS reports to track procurement performance, vendor relationships, and cost-saving initiatives, ensuring transparency and accountability in procurement activities.
Skills and Qualifications:
- 6 to 10 years of experience in procurement and vendor development within the Renewable Power Industry, specifically in Solar, Battery, Wind, and related Electrical Systems and Components.
- B.Tech in Electrical
- Possesses a strong techno-commercial background with excellent negotiation skills.
