Role Summary
Rivian internships are experiences optimized for student candidates. To be eligible, you must be an undergraduate or graduate student in an accredited program during the internship term with an expected graduation date between 2025 through 2028.

Responsibilities
- Be part of a world-class team, with a focus on high quality and rapid project deployment.
- Challenge assumptions and be an advocate for best practices.
- Discover your potential with cross-functional partnerships and be an asset to your leadership team.
- Partner with Production Engineers and Leaders to ensure successful ramp and long-term production.
- Be responsible for joining systems implementation and joining processes improvement.
- Be responsible for developing new joining process or joining process features with cross functional teams like Robot, PLC, IT, Line ME, PE, Quality, Operation, etc.
- Perform continues joining process optimization in production environment.
- Provide production feedback to design engineering teams to ensure manufacturability of product without compromising functionality and performance.
- Lead and assist production in all quality and process related joining topics and issues.
Qualifications
- Actively enrolled in a Bachelors, Masters, or PhD in Joining Engineering, Material Science or similar technical field from an accredited University or College at the time of the internship.
- Understanding of manufacturing concepts (cycle time analysis, quality control, equipment efficiency, etc.).
- Experience working in both 2D and 3D CAD environments.
- Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems and execute actions and tasks as requested by your team.
- Applied knowledge and understanding of engineering first principles.
- An interest in innovating the automotive and technology industry.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.
- Capable of working as a member of a team across several cross functional disciplines, including with external stakeholders.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be willing to work overtime, as needed.
- Travel may be expected.
