Role SummaryThe Sr. Data Scientist will be responsible for designing and developing dashboards to monitor and analyze factory quality metrics. This role will involve collecting, processing, and interpreting data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering, experience with data visualization tools, and a passion for driving quality improvements in a manufacturing environment.
ResponsibilitiesDashboard Design and Development:
- Design, develop, and maintain interactive and visually appealing dashboards to monitor factory quality metrics.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into effective data visualizations.
- Ensure dashboards provide actionable insights for decision-makers at various levels of the organization.
Data Collection and Processing:
- Gather data from various sources, including factory equipment, ERP systems, and quality control processes.
- Clean, preprocess, and transform data to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Develop and maintain ELT (Extract, Load, Transform) pipelines to streamline data integration.
Analysis and Reporting:
- Analyze quality metrics to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
- Generate reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Provide ongoing support and updates to dashboards based on user feedback and changing requirements.
Collaboration and Change Management:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, quality control, and software teams, to drive improvements based on data insights.
- Advocate for data-driven decision making and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Provide training and support to users to maximize the effectiveness of dashboards and reports.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years proven experience as a Data Engineer or similar role, with a focus on data visualization and dashboard development.
- Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Hex, Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
- Familiarity with ELT tools and processes.
- Strong SQL skills; Knowledge of programming languages such as Python or R is a plus.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Experience with vehicle software, connected systems and/or manufacturing environments is preferred but not required.
