Responsibilities• We are seeking a skilled BIM Modeler (Electrical) with experience in Onshore and Offshore Renewables projects to develop, coordinate, and manage detailed 3D models for electrical systems. The role involves working closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure accurate and clash-free designs in compliance with offshore standards.
• Develop and maintain 3D BIM models for electrical systems using tools like E3D and Navisworks
• Model electrical components such as:
• Cable trays, trench and routing and sections
• Lighting layouts
• Power distribution systems
• Earthing and lightning protection layouts
• Single line diagram
• Generate high-quality 2D drawings, assembly diagrams, and layout plans directly from 3D models, ensure deliverables align with project requirements and UK standards where applicable.
• Prepare 2D drawings and documentation (layouts, schematics, sections)
• Perform clash detection and coordination with other disciplines (mechanical, structural, piping)
• Ensure compliance with offshore standards
• Coordinate with engineers and project teams for design updates
• Conduct clash detection and resolution (Navisworks) and coordinate with different disciplines to achieve a fully integrated, clash-free model.
• Create and optimize parametric BIM Families to support design intent, improve reuse, and streamline project workflows.
• Apply QA/QC procedures to models and drawings, maintain model integrity, data consistency, and audit trails.
• Provide specialist BIM support to design teams, including analysis, modelling for electrical services, and schematic development.
