The OpportunityA leading renewable infrastructure organisation is seeking a technically strong
Renewable Project Engineer to support the development of large-scale wind and hybrid energy projects from early-stage development through to construction readiness.
This role is ideal for an engineering professional with strong renewable energy modelling capability, technical project development experience, and a passion for clean energy innovation.
To Qualify for This Opportunity, You Should Ideally Have:
- BEng / BSc Engineering qualification (Electrical / Mechanical / Energy / related discipline)
- Minimum 3+ years’ experience in wind energy assessment / renewable project engineering
- Experience producing wind turbine layouts, energy yield estimates, and technical project analysis
- Exposure to wind resource assessment, monitoring campaigns, and site engineering activities
- Experience supporting development approvals, technical studies, or engineering assessments
- Strong analytical and data modelling capability
- Advanced Excel skills and exposure to Python / engineering modelling tools
- Experience with Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) modelling or hybrid project optimisation (advantageous)
- GIS / mapping capability (advantageous)
- Ability to engage with technical consultants, project teams, and external stakeholders
- Willingness to travel frequently to project sites

- Grid / energy systems understanding
- Experience working with lenders’ technical advisors / bankable project data
- Strong technical documentation and reporting capability
