Zenith Energy has entered into a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Northern Star Resources to design, build, own, and operate Australia’s largest renewable energy project dedicated to mining. This project increases Zenith’s portfolio of renewable energy to 59% of its total contracted capacity, reinforcing Zenith’s leadership in large-scale renewable integration for the mining sector. The project represents a major step in the decarbonisation of large, energy-intensive mining operations.
About the Role
Zenith Energy is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Contract Administrator – Renewable Energy to support our Contracts Manager and Executive within the Commercial, Contracts & Procurement team.
In this role, you will provide analytical and commercial support across Zenith’s Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs). You’ll play a key role in ensuring contractual compliance, improving operational performance, and minimising commercial risk across our renewable and thermal assets.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and evaluate PPA commercial terms, including annual price escalations and insurance provisions
- Perform quantitative analysis to support compliance with PPAs and other contractual obligations
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and commercial teams to identify risks, data gaps, and improvement opportunities
- Support ongoing contract administration, including:
- Annual price reviews
- Heat rate, yield, and renewable energy guarantee calculations
- Compliance monitoring and reporting
- Assist in preparing technical and commercial reports for internal and external stakeholders, including:
- ESG reporting
- Emissions reporting
- Large-scale Generation Certificate (LGC) tracking
- Other green benefit mechanisms
- Track and document asset performance in line with contractual requirements
- Develop and apply engineering and commercial knowledge relevant to renewable energy performance
About You
- 1–3 years’ professional experience
- Exposure to energy, mining, or infrastructure sectors
- Understanding of contract administration principles
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills (data analytics experience highly regarded)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to work collaboratively across teams
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (including VBA/macros), plus Access and Word
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and process-driven
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, Finance, or Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or similar)
- Familiarity with renewable energy systems or performance tools is advantageous
