Position: Contract Field Technician (3-Month Contract)
We are seeking an experienced Field Technician to support an active drilling campaign. This is a hands-on, site-based role suited to someone confident working around pit environments and able to operate with minimal supervision.
Scope of Role:
- Manage sample handling and dispatch to laboratory, ensuring accuracy and timely turnaround
- Coordinate and supply consumables to drilling contractors
- Support day-to-day field operations across an active pit environment
- Conduct light vehicle servicing and upkeep (manual and automatic LV fleet)
- Assist with movement of samples and materials using site vehicles (including light truck)
- Provide general support to a small geology team (approx. 4 people), assisting with non-technical tasks to keep operations running efficiently
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a Field Technician / Field Assistant role within mining or exploration
- Comfortable working in and around active pit environments
- Strong understanding of sample management processes
- Ability to work independently and proactively with minimal direction
- Manual driver’s licence (essential)
- Forklift (LF) licence (essential)
- Hiab / truck-mounted crane experience (preferred)

- All current work is within cleared ground, with potential for further scope pending approvals
- Initial 3-month contract supporting an ongoing drilling campaign
- Role requires someone who is practical, organised, and familiar with site operations, able to step in and support immediately
