Site Coordinator – Commissioning
This role supports commissioning activities on a major sustaining capital program at a large iron ore operation in Western Australia. The project is well progressed, with extended commissioning and handover activities planned over the next 12 months.
About the Role
The Site Coordinator – Commissioning will report to the Commissioning Manager and support the planning, coordination, and execution of commissioning activities across multiple systems. The role works closely with construction, QA/QC, engineering, and operations teams to ensure safe and compliant system handover.
Key Responsibilities

Coordinate commissioning activities across electrical, instrumentation, and control systems.

Interface with construction teams to manage system readiness and handover sequencing.

Support development and execution of commissioning plans, systems, and sub-systems.

Monitor permit-to-work, isolations, and commissioning-related risk controls.

Review commissioning documentation, test records, and handover packs.

Track punch lists, defects, and outstanding works to support system completion.

Liaise with contractors, commissioning engineers, and operations representatives.

Ensure commissioning activities comply with safety, quality, and technical requirements.
Skills & Experience

Electrical or instrumentation trade or engineering background.

Experience supporting commissioning or pre-commissioning on large construction projects.

Exposure to HV/LV systems, switchgear, MCCs, instrumentation, and control systems.

Experience working within EPCM or contractor-led project environments.

Familiarity with permit-to-work systems and commissioning interfaces with operations.

Strong coordination and documentation management skills.
Roster / Location: 2:1 FIFO roster, site-based in Western Australia
Duration: 12+ months remaining
Rate: $118.53/hr inclusive of superannuation
