Introduction

A well-established industrial manufacturing and engineering operation is seeking a Managers Assistant to support the daily management of a busy production workshop. This role requires a proactive individual who can assist with operational coordination, production scheduling, technical drawings, and general workshop administration.

The successful candidate will work closely with management and the workshop team to ensure efficient workflow, accurate documentation, and excellent service delivery to customers.

Duties & Responsibilities

Provide administrative and operational support to the Manager across all aspects of the workshop.
Assist in overseeing workshop activities in collaboration with the Workshop Foreman.
Maintain and monitor production schedules to ensure deadlines are met.
Generate technical drawings using CAD-based software.
Prepare and issue customer quotations.
Create and manage job cards, delivery notes, and invoices in coordination with the internal sales team.
Coordinate local transport and delivery arrangements with relevant departments.
Support general operational efficiency within the workshop environment.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Proven experience working within a steel service centre, engineering workshop, or fabrication environment.
Understanding of laser profile cutting, CNC bending, welding processes, and fabrication operations.
Proficiency in AutoCAD LT, Inventor, SolidWorks, or similar CAD software.
Strong organisational and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively within a team environment.
High attention to detail and strong problem-solving ability.
Valid drivers licence.
Computer literate.
