Join a leading renewable energy group as an Asset Accountant, responsible for the accurate recording and management of fixed assets across multiple sustainable business units. You’ll ensure compliance with IFRS, tax legislation, and internal policies while maintaining the integrity of the asset register. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, analytical professional eager to contribute to the growing renewable energy sector.
Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
Create and monitor a system of controls, procedures, and forms for the recording of the asset
Assign Tag numbers to the asset
Record asset acquisition and disposals in the accounting system
Track the compilation of project cost into the asset accounts, and close out those accounts once related projects have been completed
Reconcile the balance in the Subsidiary Fixed Asset ledger to the summary level account in the general ledger
Conduct periodic physical counts of fixed assets
Prepare audit schedules and conduct periodic impairment reviews
Skills & Experience:
Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar position
Experience in Excel, Business Central & Solidi Tech & 4Flow
Qualification:
Degree, diploma or similar plus experience
Designations is advantageous but not a must
