An exciting opportunity is available for a Renewable Energy Systems Engineer to join a growing team working on innovative Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage (BESS) projects within the Commercial & Industrial and small-scale IPP sectors.
Job Description:
- Lead the design and engineering of Solar PV and BESS systems from concept to construction stage
- Develop single-line diagrams, control schematics, and instrumentation layouts
- Design and integrate PLC, SCADA, and Energy Management Systems (EMS)
- Perform system sizing, energy modelling, and electrical studies
- Support technical proposals, feasibility studies, and bid preparation
- Provide technical oversight during construction and commissioning phases
Skills & Experience:
- Experience with Solar PV and/or Battery Energy Storage Systems
- Strong knowledge of energy management, instrumentation, and control systems
- Proficiency in tools such as PVsyst, ETAP or DIgSILENT, and AutoCAD Electrical
- Understanding of grid integration, protection systems, and energy optimisation
- Minimum 5 – 10 years of experience
Qualification:
- BEng/ BSc Electrical, Electronic, or Mechatronic Engineering
- ECSA registration (PrEng/PR Tech Eng) or working toward registration advantageous
