What can you expect from this position?
In this role you will assist the Environmental Services team with the maintenance and management of the airport and airport tenant properties as it relates to the environment and sustainability.
As a Student, Environmental Services, you will:
- Assist in the maintenance of the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System, environmental audits of airport tenant properties, review of current airport activities to develop airport operational baseline levels.
- Assist with environmental action plans to measure and monitor performance; and sustainability initiatives.
- Monitoring construction sites for environmenrtal compliance.
- Assist with airport stormwater program and maintenance of stormwater facilities.
- Collect soil, water and groudnwater samples; maintain water quality; and assist with air quality monitoring stations; and evaluating and reporting soil, groundwater, surface water and air quality data.
This is the role for you, if you have:
- Enrolled in an accredited post-secondary institution with a focus in Environmental Studies, Environmental Science, Environmental Planning or Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
- The ability to take initiative and effectively collaborate with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
- The ability to obtain and retain Transportation Security Clearance at the designated level for the position.
