Major Responsibilities:
Manages TRCA’s Short-Term Disability (STD) and Long-Term Disability (LTD) programs and claims from inception to completion.
Analyzes the effectiveness of disability management processes and policies and makes recommendations for improvement.
Performs data management and data mining to identify trends and performance measurement of TRCA’s disability management program.
Administers and tracks learning and development and professional development content and training completions through TRCA’s HRIS (Dayforce), managing non-compliance.
Supports the design and development of learning and development solutions.
Coordinates the delivery of learning and development sessions.
Supports the HR team with maintenance, review, and administration of the compensation and benefits programs.
Reviews and monitors benefits and Employee Assistance Program (EAP) utilization, recommending opportunities to improve the employee experience.
Supports the HR team by completing assigned HR projects and initiatives.
Leverages HR tools and systems to generate and interpret data analytics aimed at driving business outcomes.
Assists in the design and implementation of diversity, equity and inclusion programs.
Supports the procurement process to acquire third party vendors in support of HR programs.
What will you need to succeed:
Education (degree/diploma/certifications/licenses)
Post-secondary diploma or degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or another related field.
Valid Ontario Class G2 driver's license
Experience
3+ years of experience in HR related to the major responsibilities of this role
Experience managing disability management and supporting return to work protocols
Experience managing HR projects and programs from start to finish

Able to self-manage workload and prioritize tasks independently
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to communicate project status for various audiences
Effective problem-solving skills and leadership skills, including staff coaching and managing performance and working collaboratively with other divisions
Demonstrated ability to prepare consultant terms of reference and procurement documents
Knowledge of best management practices, and up-to-date knowledge of mitigation and controls, as well as safe work procedures
