The Energy Storage Specialist will anchor work across India’s emerging battery ecosystem, including BESS, EV batteries, raw material sourcing, recycling, circular economy models, and investment‑related policy measures. The role aims to support domestic manufacturing scale‑up and strengthen India’s position in global battery value chains.
Location: New Delhi (on‑site at client location)
Qualification: Master’s degree in Engineering/Technology (Electrical/Battery/Energy Engineering/Energy Management preferred)
Experience: Minimum 7 years in energy storage with exposure to manufacturing, policy, localisation, or project implementation
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead BESS & EV Battery Manufacturing Strategy: Develop strategic insights and roadmaps for manufacturing across BESS, battery cells, packs, BMS, EMS, PCS, power electronics, and related ecosystem components.
2. Support Circular Economy & Recycling Pathways: Evaluate technology options, infrastructure requirements, and regulatory frameworks for battery recycling and second‑life applications. Promote industry–policy dialogue on recycling standards and EPR requirements.
3. Strengthen Raw Material Access & Supply Chain Security: Analyse demand for critical minerals and recommend strategies for sourcing, processing, recycling, and supply risk mitigation.
4. Provide Industrial Policy & Investment Inputs: Support the development of fiscal incentives, concessional finance tools, and infrastructure support mechanisms to enable large‑scale battery manufacturing.
5. Technical & Project Advisory: Contribute to system design, feasibility studies, and due‑diligence efforts for BESS projects. Provide inputs on safety, standards, and integration with the grid or EV systems.
6. Lead Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with manufacturers, utilities, recyclers, financiers, and government agencies to drive ecosystem development.

Manufacturing value chains
Policy development and regulatory frameworks
Technology localisation initiatives
Energy storage project development or implementation
Strong knowledge of energy storage technologies, siting considerations, standards, and project economics.
Skills & Competencies
Strong understanding of battery technologies and manufacturing processes
Familiarity with value‑chain economics and lifecycle modelling
Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills
Ability to manage multi‑stakeholder engagements
