Are you an experienced Environmental and Regulatory professional that enjoys turning complex regulations into practical solutions for manufacturing teams?
At Miller Electric, an ITW company, we are seeking an experienced Environmental and Regulatory Manager with deep experience in Title V air permitting process to support our manufacturing operations. In this role, you will ensure compliance with all applicable environmental regulations and company standards while proactively identifying and managing environmental risk. The position will serve as a strategic partner to operations, engineering, maintenance, and executive leadership, providing practical guidance that aligns regulatory compliance with operational efficiency and business objectives.
HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
Environmental Compliance & Regulatory Management:
- Manage and maintain Title V Air Permits, including renewals, modifications, and agency reporting
- Lead environmental and regulatory compliance initiatives across manufacturing and R&D operations
- Manage and continuously improve wastewater management, SPCC, SWPPP, RCRA, and air compliance programs
- Ensure accurate toxic release and extremely hazardous substance reporting, recordkeeping, and compliance
- Manage CEDRI compliance and emissions data reporting
- Serve as a primary liaison with federal, state, and local environmental regulatory agencies
Hazardous Materials, Risk & Emergency Management:
- Oversee the company’s hazardous waste program, including waste characterization, collection, storage, transportation, and disposal
- Lead chemical risk management activities, including ammonia safety and EPA Risk Management Plan (RMP) compliance
- Maintain knowledge of and support the Emergency Action Plan related to chemical spills or releases
- Conduct environmental risk assessments, incident investigations, and root cause analyses; implement corrective and preventive actions
Training, Documentation & Continuous Improvement:
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve environmental training programs to ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and company standards
- Manage environmental documentation, reporting systems, and internal communications to ensure accuracy and regulatory readiness
- Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, R&D, legal, and executive leadership to drive continuous environmental performance improvement in a decentralized organization

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related discipline
- 3-5 Years of environmental and regulatory compliance experience
- Demonstrated expertise in Title V air permitting and air compliance programs
- Strong working knowledge of EPA, DOT, and state environmental regulations
- Experience with digital regulatory reporting platforms and strong proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Availability to support emergency environmental response activities as required
