Job Summary
We are seeking a driven Safety & Environmental Manager to help build a strong safety and environmentally focused culture at our new, state-of-the-art facility in Chilton, WI. In this highâimpact role, you will serve as the primary resource in the development and implementation of our Safety and Environmental Management Systems. Partnering with Plant and Safety leadership, you will support the rollout of key initiatives, and develop, implement and drive continuous improvement to ensure our new operation meets industry best practices and regulatory compliance with OSHA/EPA/DNR/DOT requirements.

What you need to be considered for the role:
- 4 Year / Bachelors Degree in Safety Management, Environmental Science, or other related field required. An equivalent level of experience may be considered.
- Six (6) or more years of related safety, process safety management (PSM), and environmental management experience in a manufacturing environment required.
- 30-Hour OSHA Compliance training required or the ability / willingness to complete.
- Comprehensive knowledge of occupational safety best practices, OSHA regulations, and disability management.
- Intermediate to advanced level of operations in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook and HRIS.
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines and being able to meet deadlines while working through interruptions.
- Possess working knowledge with the form, content, enforcement and implementation of Waste Water and Ground Water Standards, Air Quality Regulations, the State General Construction Permit, Construction Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans and Best Management Practices.
- Strong understanding of the PSM and Risk Management Plant (RMP) programs.
- Expertise in EPA and WDNR regulations, communication, negotiation, and navigating government organization structures.
- Ability to interface effectively with all levels within the company, as well as organizations outside the company (regulatory agencies, contractors, & consultants).
- Analytical ability and process improvement knowledge.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and regulations.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability / willingness to travel to other Grande Facilities <10% of the time.
Preferred:
- Associate Safety Professional (ASP) or Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification preferred.
- Environmental Certification a plus.
- Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) credential highly desirable.
