Role Overview<\/b>

The Head of Engineering – Solar Projects will lead end -to -end engineering for large -scale, ground -mounted solar power plants. The role covers concept development, FEED, detailed engineering, cost optimization, power evacuation, commissioning support, and digital transformation. The position requires strong leadership across DC, AC, civil & structural engineering, hybrid systems, BESS, and grid interconnection, with accountability for LCoE optimization and design excellence.

1. Engineering Leadership & Strategy<\/b>
<\/h3>
Lead end -to -end engineering for utility -scale solar projects (100 MW to multi -GW).
<\/p><\/li>
Define engineering strategy, standards, SOPs, and specifications.
<\/p><\/li>
Lead and mentor multidisciplinary teams (DC, AC, Civil, Structural, Power Evacuation, BESS).
<\/p><\/li>
Act as the technical authority for land -based solar engineering decisions.

2. Front -End & Detailed Engineering<\/b>
<\/h3>
Lead concept design, feasibility studies, FEED, and detailed engineering.
<\/p><\/li>
Oversee plant layouts, SLDs, GAs, module/inverter selection, DC/AC sizing, cable schedules, and loss calculations.
<\/p><\/li>
Ensure compliance with IEC, IS, IEEE, CEA, DISCOM, and utility standards.

3. Cost Optimization & Financial Engineering<\/b>
<\/h3>
Drive LCoE and Capex optimization through design and technology innovation.
<\/p><\/li>
Perform energy yield assessments using PVsyst / SAM.
<\/p><\/li>
Support financial models (LCoE, IRR, NPV, LCoS).
<\/p><\/li>
Prepare engineering budgets and secure approvals.
<\/p><\/li><\/ul>
4. Power Evacuation & Grid Integration<\/b>
<\/h3>
Lead engineering of pooling substations (33kV–765kV) and transmission lines.
<\/p><\/li>
Coordinate with DISCOMs, TRANSCOs, PGCIL, NTPC, SLDCs for approvals.
<\/p><\/li>
Ensure statutory clearances and grid compliance.
<\/p><\/li><\/ul>
5. Hybrid, BESS & Emerging Technologies<\/b>
<\/h3>
Lead engineering for Solar + Wind + BESS hybrid plants.
<\/p><\/li>
Oversee battery sizing, technology evaluation, and optimization.
<\/p><\/li>
Support green hydrogen integration.
<\/p><\/li>
Evaluate and adopt emerging technologies.

6. Project Support & Execution Interface<\/b>
<\/h3>
Provide engineering support during construction, commissioning, and handover.

Resolve site -level engineering issues and deviations.
<\/p><\/li>
Support QA, inspections, and performance validation.
<\/p><\/li><\/ul>
7. Digital Transformation & Innovation<\/b>
<\/h3>
Lead deployment of design and construction monitoring platforms.

Implement drone -based monitoring, energy analytics, and asset digitization.

Evaluate tools such as PVcase, SenseHawk, Solar Labs.

Drive R&D initiatives, POCs, and pilot projects.

8. Stakeholder & Management Interface<\/b>
