We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Business Development Engineer with at least 2+ years of relevant experience in photovoltaics and renewable energy. The role combines technical understanding with strong business development and client-facing capabilities, focusing on expanding Solarpro’s presence across European markets.
Mandatory relocation to Sofia, Bulgaria.
This position requires permanent relocation to Sofia and involves frequent travel across Europe, active participation in international industry events, and close collaboration with internal technical and commercial teams.
Main responsibilities:
Business Development & Market Engagement:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in photovoltaics and energy storage sectors across domestic and international EU markets, UK and Ireland;
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to support business development strategies;
- Assist in expanding the company's client and partner network by engaging with potential customers, investors, and industry stakeholders;
- Meeting the clients (present and potential), presenting solar PV, BESS, and hybrid energy solutions of Solarpro Group;
- Support preparation of techno-commercial proposals and preliminary project assessments;
- Participate in international exhibitions, trade shows, conferences, and industry networking events.
Technical Support:
- Collaborate with engineering and project management teams to translate client requirements into technical solutions;
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of PV technologies, energy storage systems, and EPC processes.
Your profile:
Experience & Education:
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in photovoltaics, renewable energy, business development, technical sales, or project engineering;
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Energy, Mechanical, Civil), Renewable Energy, or related field;
- Exposure to solar PV systems, energy storage technologies, or EPC project environments.
Technical Knowledge:
- Foundational understanding of PV system design, utility-scale solar projects, BESS integration, and EPC processes;
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems, grid connection, and renewable energy regulations preferred.
Language & Mobility Requirements:
- Fluent English (written ans spoken);
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently across Europe;
- Possession of valid travel documents for Europe is a strong advantage.
