About the client:
Job Roles and Responsibilities:

Develop and execute the renewable energy insurance strategy in line with organizational goals.

Establish and scale the Renewable Energy vertical with full ownership of P&L, revenue targets, and profitability.

Identify growth opportunities across solar, wind, hybrid, hydro, battery storage, EV infrastructure, and green hydrogen projects.

Track market trends, regulatory changes, and emerging risks impacting renewable energy projects.

Acquire and manage relationships with large developers, IPPs, EPC contractors, project owners, lenders, and investors.

Act as a trusted advisor to CXOs and project finance teams.

Lead negotiations for large and complex insurance placements.

Drive account retention, cross-selling, and long-term client engagement.

Design and place comprehensive insurance programs including:

Construction All Risk (CAR)

Erection All Risk (EAR)
-
Delay in Start-Up (DSU)
-
Operational All Risk (OAR)
-
Machinery Breakdown (MB)
-
Business Interruption (BI)
-
Marine, Liability, Cyber, and Specialty covers

Work closely with domestic insurers and international reinsurers to secure capacity and competitive terms.

Ensure insurance programs meet lender and project finance requirements.
Qualification and Experience:
- Graduate / MBA with insurance qualifications
- 10+ years
- Experience handling large portfolios

Build and maintain strategic partnerships with insurers and reinsurers (including global markets).

Lead negotiations on pricing, wordings, and capacity for large-ticket projects.

Monitor underwriting appetite and market movements to optimize client outcomes.

Build, mentor, and lead a specialized Renewable Energy insurance team.

Drive technical training, market knowledge sharing, and performance management.

Deep technical knowledge of renewable energy project risks and insurance structures
