Siemens Gamesa is looking for a highly skilled Sales Manager to drive the growth of the Aftermarket business in Australia and New Zealand markets for the Wind Power Business as part of the Aftermarket Sales team. As an Aftermarket Sales Manager you will be responsible to driving revenue growth by developing and managing strategic relationships with clients and prospects, selling the Aftermarket products and services. You will work closely with senior leadership, sales teams, and technical experts to identify market opportunities, foster customer relationships, and enhance the company's market presence in renewable energy. This is a strategic role that requires a deep understanding of the wind industry, strong leadership capabilities, and a proven track record in sales, strategy, and business development. This role requires a combination of leadership skills, strategic planning, and hands-on sales to meet and exceed the sales targets.
Your role will see you identify, pursue, negotiate, and close contracts for the sale of Siemens Gamesa's Aftermarket Products and Services, with special focus on order-entry time, targeted profitability, revenue stability, customer satisfaction, share of wallet and conversion rate.
Develop and foster strong customer`s relationship at all levels (management included).
The position is based in Australia, preferable in Melbourne or Sydney and travel is expected to meet customers and internal stakeholders mostly within Australia and New Zealand markets (approximately 30% of the time).
Responsibilities
This Sales role is responsible for all sales activities involving Aftermarket products including but not limited to Modification/Upgrades, Spare Parts, Repairs Services, Support Services. This person will develop and implement the market sales strategy to grow the aftermarket business, customer relationships, and bring new products to market, while working closely with our regional and global organization to prepare, negotiate, and close opportunities. Key responsibilities shall include:
Develop and implement sales strategies to grow the aftermarket business achieving the set sales targets for the region and for the fiscal year.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities in Australia and New Zealand markets.
Drive all Sales Process, from opportunities identification on the pre-bid phase to materializing sales opportunities for contract signature. Draft sales offer, support on cost models, and lead contract negotiations as needed to close the opportunities.
Analyze market trends, competitor, and customer feedback to adapt sales strategies and improve Aftermarket offering value proposition.
Manage the Customer`s Accounts, establishing, developing, and maintaining constant and strong relationship with new and existing customers capturing more market share and share of wallet.
Prepare the Sales Forecast, Budget, and Reports on progress for management review.
Manage and coordinate workflows between engineering, supply chain, and other back-office technical teams as required to execute the sale.
Align and coordinate with regional commercial, technical staff and product specialists as needed to close the sales opportunities.
Support other Sales Managers on high-value product packages and opportunities as needed.
This is a technical sales role, requiring the ability to learn and communicate product/portfolio specifics from design to execution details.
Must work closely with other members of the organization, both locally and regionally.
Developing and fostering strong customer`s relationship at all levels (management included).
To be successful in this role you will bring:
Bachelor`s degree in Engineering, Business, Sales or related field or equivalent.
Extensive experience in technical sales, account management or project management roles. Renewable Industry or similar industry experience is preferred but not mandatory.
Strong sales acumen with a proven track record on building customer relationship and achieving/exceeding sales targets.
Fluent in written and spoken English and strong communication skills with the ability to synthesize information effectively through presentations and dialogue.
Significant demonstrated experience in customer handling, commercial negotiations, coupled with a strong understanding of business practices, commercial terms & conditions, and energy industry norms (desirable).
Demonstrated technical acumen with the ability to analyse and understand technical issues and the desire to develop your technical details.
Ability to to travel frequently within Australia and New Zealand, with flexible work hours.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
