DescriptionThe Opportunity
We have a market leading international energy practice, and we are looking to further invest in our Australian Projects team with a dedicated Senior Associate in our Sydney office to support an exciting pipeline of renewable energy projects.
We are looking for an experienced senior front-end construction lawyer with experience in advising on the procurement and delivery of renewable energy projects.
You will be working on a range of large-scale renewable energy projects across Australia, including on wind (onshore and offshore), solar, BESS and hybrid projects, and for both contractor and developer clients. Your day-to-day work will include drafting, negotiating, reviewing and advising on the full range of project documentation (including EPC, TSI, S&I, O&M and BOP contracts) and providing project delivery advice.
You will be mentored and supported by a collegiate and market leading team of construction and renewable energy specialists, and you will have the opportunity to work closely with our broader energy sector team on business development activities.
Additionally, you will also be encouraged to develop your own valuable relationships and build on your market presence.
The Team
The construction of major energy and infrastructure projects is part of our DNA.
Our Projects team has significant experience advising on all aspects of the development and delivery of large-scale renewable energy projects, regularly acting for leading international and local developers, contractors and OEMs in relation to the preparation and negotiation of EPC, O&M, TSI, S&I, BOP, D&C and supply contracts, connection agreements and other ancillary construction and services agreements. Our team also regularly provides strategic procurement advice in relation to the early development phases of renewable energy projects, and also advice during project delivery.
Our team members have been involved in Australia's renewable energy market since its inception and have advised on some of the largest and most complex renewable energy projects in Australia and on many 'market-first' projects.
