We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Renewable Energy Project Manager to oversee the implementation of smart metering systems, manage carbon credit engagements, and support the preparation of project applications, tenders, and installations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in renewable energy projects, excellent project management skills, and a passion for sustainable development.

Key Responsibilities:
Smart Metering Management:
Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of smart metering systems for mini-grids and C&I projects.
Ensure accurate data collection, monitoring, and reporting of energy usage.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to metering systems.
Train local teams and stakeholders on the use and benefits of smart metering technology.
Carbon Credits Engagement:
Manage the company’s carbon credit portfolio, including project registration, monitoring, and verification under recognized standards.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to maximize carbon credit revenue.
Prepare and submit periodic reports on carbon credit performance and impact.
Project & Program Development:
Assist in the preparation of project proposals, grant applications, and tender documents for mini-grid and C&I projects.
Conduct feasibility studies, site assessments, and community engagement activities.
Coordinate with technical, financial, and legal teams to ensure project readiness.
Project Implementation & Engagement:
Support the planning and execution of mini-grid and C&I installations, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and community leaders to ensure smooth project implementation.
Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
Stakeholder Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, government agencies, and local communities.
Represent the company at meetings, workshops, and conferences related to renewable energy and climate action.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Renewable Energy, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in renewable energy project management, preferably in mini-grids and C&I projects.
Strong knowledge of smart metering systems and energy monitoring technologies.
Experience with carbon credit mechanisms and familiarity with carbon standards.
Proven track record in preparing project proposals, grant applications, and tender documents.
Excellent project management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in remote and off-grid locations.
Proficiency in relevant software tools (e.g., MS Office, project management software, energy monitoring platforms).
